I think they should be looking to see the level of trading done on this game on the various exchanges and see if this throws up anything unusual too. The scoreline betting may just be a smokescreen to where the real money was made. They have to look at it is all I'm saying.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29605452.post-39611224179817428122009-04-16T23:43:00.000+01:002009-04-16T23:43:00.000+01:00I saw someone trying to place £300 on a 10-4 resul...I saw someone trying to place £300 on a 10-4 result for Maguire today, but was told by the betting shop manager they would only accept £80.

Makes my £10 bet on O'Sullivan to win seem tiny!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29605452.post-25675842547639736472009-04-16T21:46:00.000+01:002009-04-16T21:46:00.000+01:00I'm sure if Burnett is taken in for police questio...I'm sure if Burnett is taken in for police questioning then Maguire will be to then what happens's to the match as you say Sergey, all this happen's on the morning of the match.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29605452.post-36650029361430974312009-04-16T21:08:00.000+01:002009-04-16T21:08:00.000+01:00What's the chances of Burnett being taken into cus...What's the chances of Burnett being taken into custody on the morning of the tie and Maguire winning by default?

It's a serious crime, match fixing.Sergeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17555377451149615011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29605452.post-87890139394105967982009-04-16T18:08:00.000+01:002009-04-16T18:08:00.000+01:00Are World Snooker investigating Liang v Ebdon? Are World Snooker investigating Liang v Ebdon?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29605452.post-24075688192802440412009-04-16T17:41:00.000+01:002009-04-16T17:41:00.000+01:00Monique - the Gambling Commission are still invest...Monique - the Gambling Commission are still investigating the Liang v Ebdon matchDave Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08037719321756898982noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29605452.post-26615885134640091892009-04-16T16:47:00.000+01:002009-04-16T16:47:00.000+01:00Great news, because I wanted to see someone end up...Great news, because I wanted to see someone end up in cuffs over this.

But also a horrible news story for snooker generally.Gregnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29605452.post-53113858168976980112009-04-16T15:41:00.000+01:002009-04-16T15:41:00.000+01:00You're right.

Only way match betting could have been profitable would have been if Burnett had won or Burnett had taken a big lead and then subsequently lost. The issue here is definately match score betting.RIchPnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29605452.post-63611043897628188712009-04-16T13:15:00.000+01:002009-04-16T13:15:00.000+01:00The Police would only act after a complaint or com...The Police would only act after a complaint or complaints, which is somewaht surprising coming four months after the incident.

Dave, is it possible that the WPBSA have passed the case to them to investigate?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29605452.post-39022806599922170922009-04-16T12:36:00.000+01:002009-04-16T12:36:00.000+01:00wildJONESEYE
