Question is - did it have really fast broadband!

Thanks for giving an insight into the austere nature of the snooker press room.

I suppose in defence - apart from the free buffet/drink et al - it is difficult for World Snooker as opposed other sports. In this case the game never knows where tournaments are going to be played from one season to the next - apart from Sheffield - and so can't set up a 'proper' press room as much as they would like. Unlike Tennis and Football with venues that are set in stone and have facilities to match.

Thanks, JoeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29605452.post-47905406351179900732007-07-05T11:20:00.000+01:002007-07-05T11:20:00.000+01:00That's an easy one to answer - the press room at t...That's an easy one to answer - the press room at the Medittaranean Conference Centre in Malta was bigger than the Crucible arena

Most of them in Britain are rather poky affairs, often without windows

But at least we're indoors away from the weather and we get pretty well looked afterDave Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08037719321756898982noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29605452.post-18335623913217908532007-07-04T22:27:00.000+01:002007-07-04T22:27:00.000+01:00Dave,Thanks for answering this question. It intrigued me.

I suppose interference from family/friends depends on the venue (ie - how big the venus/ press room is.)

But for ex players/players it is slightly different. For example the BBC sometimes do pieces from the Sheffield press room - of which you wouldn't get family/friends interference.

Also you wouldn't get it at the Wembley conference centre. They had a room for press conferences and another for the press room - a long narrow room. So only players would pop in.

In your opinion, what is the best press room you have worked in?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
