HIGGINS 'ADMITS MATCH FIXING'

Sky Sports News are reporting that John Higgins and Pat Mooney have admitted match fixing charges at the tribunal today.

I have no independent verification of this and Sky have not disclosed their source.

More as I get it...

Considering the original allegations were made in a Dirty Digger "news" paper, we might take this with a pinch of salt...

A sad day for snooker if this story is true. I guess now the only debate is on the length of the ban he will receive. Can't see how this can be less that 5 years, realistically.

If (and it's a big if) he has then it's the end for Higgins.

Sky's story might well be true.

However .... it's not what his current representative (not Mooney) is saying this morning.

Word from him is that Higgins is still trying to clear his name. Perhaps he's not in the court.

Could be a leak straight to Sky from the courtroom.

If he's going down this route maybe he will contest that the World Series is outside the jurisdiction of the WSA?
