Ken Doherty is hoping to unearth some stars of the future after opening his own snooker academy in Dublin.
Doherty, the 1997 world champion, opened the new club at the weekend in the company of Jimmy White, John Parrott and Cliff Thorburn.
He will use it as his own practice base and plans to train the next generation of Irish snooker aces.
"It's always been a dream of mine to establish a club and academy where I could pass on the benefits of the experience I've built up," Doherty said.
"I think I can help people to realise their potential in the game if they are really committed and focused."
At the age of 41, Doherty is still the Republic of Ireland's highest ranked player.
Uniquely, he has won the world title at junior, amateur and professional levels.

Ireland does need some new stars. Hope more players create an academy of their own like Hendry or other players who have the experience of Hendry, Sullivan and Doherty.
Good for him, good luck and I hope it does well.
Any information about where in Dublin this place is?
Terenure Cross in Dublin
Just back from the new academy. Seriously nice place, reminds me of a golf club. Ken was up there, looks like he put a lot of work into it. Located just in behind Brady's pub at the crossroads in Terenure. Decent bit of parking too. Tables are €8/€10 an hour depending on whether you are a member or not. Free to join over the summer, will normally be €99 a year. Tables are best I have ever played on, brand new. 6 full size, 2 darts boards, nine ball table, 5 pub pool tables, table tennis and lots of tvs around.
I would urge all of you to get out and try it, very nice place and we need to see places like this succeeding hopefully. Ken is also running training camps and regular tournaments
Did his time at Radisson hotel come to an end and this pushed him on to do this quicker than he might have otherwise?
Dear Ken
Good luck lad! Your a brave and gambling man. I think the age old adage is true about gamblers.
If you want to make a small fortune; just start off with a large fortune. Mr Hey You
