Today
marks seven years since Paul Hunter died of cancer at the age of 27.
To
his family and his many friends and fans in the snooker world, he remains a
much missed part of our game.
Shortly
after his death, the BBC looked back on his life and career. Paul had already achieved a great deal but had so much more to give the game before cruelly, tragically, he passed away on October 9, 2006.

Top player and gentleman of the first order, sorely missed. RIP.
Much missed.
A true talent with a wonderfully bright attitude to life.
Met him just after he lost to White in the 2004 Players Championship in Glasgow.
He was genuinely pleased for White and stayed most of the night enjoying a few beers with everyone.
Was a pleasure to have met him.
