JUST THE TICKET

It has been announced that the UK Championship is returning to Telford next season.

I would draw your attention to the paragraph towards the bottom of worldsnooker.com's story, which reads 'Tickets bought from unauthorised sources may not be valid and admission to the event may not be permitted.'

There are a number of online ticket agencies offering tickets for snooker tournaments.

Do not, do not, do not buy tickets from them. Only purchase tickets from the official ticket supplier as stated on the World Snooker website.

There is an online agency currently selling tickets for the Northern Ireland Trophy. This tournament is not taking place.

These people do not deserve your money and buying tickets from them will only end in disappointment.

I did put exactly the same warning on ROS forum a few hours ago. In fact some fans have already been tempted to buy tickets for the NIT (ROS would have been the defending champion) weeks ago despite the fact that I had stated it was extremely unlikely the tournament would happen. Decrepencies in the tournaments dates as compared with WPBSA annoucement stopped some of them. For the others if any ... is there anything they can do?

  2. Not sure. It depends on the small print on the website.

My advice is to always wait for worldsnooker.com to announce when tickets are on sale and where to buy them.

Keep up the good work David.
If it wasn’t for you the users of break-down.co.uk (who can’t write or spell but can cut and paste) would have nothing to discuss.
Plagiarism is the greatest compliment you can get.

Marco Fu already has a problem because he is scheduled to represented Hong Kong in the Asian Indoor Games, being hosted this year by Hong Kong.

That's due to finish on 5 December so he'll need a very quick flight or hope that WSA take pity on him and make sure his first match is scheduled for late on 6 December.

Off topic but just in case Dave doesn't post today. For anyone that likes a bet, Sportingbet have priced up a market on the first PIOS event which starts tomorrow. Alfie Burden and Shokat Ali share favouritism.
