THIS WEEK'S ACTION

There's more snooker underway this week.

At the Northern in Leeds it's the Paul Hunter English Open, which includes players such as Stephen Lee, Ryan Day, Michael Holt, Stuart Bingham, Dave Harold and Tony Drago.

And out in Taiwan Gerard Greene is defending his World Games title against the likes of Ricky Walden, Nigel Bond and Thepchaiya Un Nooh.

Global-Snooker.com has coverage of both events.

Next week the first Pro Challenge Series tournament is played and a fortnight today the qualifiers for the Shanghai Masters will be underway.

  1. The World Games also has pool disciplines for men and women and carom but at Global Snooker we will be concentrating on the snooker section.

There's even more on towards the end of this week too Dave.

It's the busiest summer of snooker I've ever known.

The weekend will see the Lucan Racing Irish Classic featuring all the top Irish pros. We're covering that as well.

And Sunday evening is the start of PIOS event 2.

Information on all the above events are on the site.

Sadly not so for the WSA Pro Challenge or Shanghai as we're still waiting for the draws!

  2. Are you going to be at any of the events Dave?

Think I'll head to Leeds for the English Open and Pro Challenge, it's only an hour or so from me which is handy.
