SHAUN OF THE REDS

Shaun Murphy can reasonably lay claim to having compiled the first ever century in Portugal (unless anyone knows different).

Shaun made a 105 to win the decider against Mark Selby and reach the semi-finals of the World Series grand finals.

This was not straight forward as the match was played using only ten reds, so the highest possible break is only 107.

I was wondering how long it would be until a century was made in the event.

I am told Eusabio was a fifty break player in his pomp.

Any sign of his wife?

Lol I thought I missed it but read Daves post on the tv times wrong. Thought he said 8.45am but its pm. Phew.

So 107 is the max. I am also guessing that they go up to full reds for the final or whatever since they had gone up to 10 from 6.

Any players from Portugal playing? Prob not many if only 3 tables in the whole country.

Shaun could make a reasonable claim but couldn't Graeme Dott make a stronger claim having made 100 in the decider against Luca?

Which made was played first?

Murphy played first. It was supposed to be Dott but they swapped the matches round so that Brecel didn't have to play two on the spin.

Speaking of wifes, was that Peter Ebdon's wife he was shown with during the World Final on BBC or was it someone else?

7.23pm, I did google it already. Lots of results for Eusabio, none of them seem to have anything to do with snooker. Even typed snooker Eusabio.

There was a Eusebio tho, some Portugal football player. I assume thats what this person meant.

Eusebio, lol, he's better known than any snooker player has ever been. ;)

thanks Dave!

Yes Eusebio is a football legend. On a par with Pele

nobody is on a par with Pele in terms of football talent. some are close, like Euse, but almost all of the top experts pick Pele when its "name the best ever". unfortunately this type of debate cant rely on factual evidence....

Yeah, it is not hard to google Eusebio. It's also not hard to remember someone's name when it's right there in front of you. Jenna, not Gemma.
