Alex Higgins, the combative, combustible former world champion, may finally have met his match.
The 'Hurricane' will face Anne Robinson on BBC1's Weakest Link at 5.50pm this coming Saturday.
It will be interesting to see how this angry, argumentative character fares.
I'm also looking forward to seeing how Higgins does.

It will be great to see the Hurricane back on the box again - if only to see what we're missing today. The players today just don't have the charisma of the greats from yesteryear.
Where are the characters in snooker nowadays?
Dear old Dennis with his big glasses and Big Bill Werbenuik who hilariously went for a wee after every frame.
Wonderful days they were.
Thanks for informing us, it should be very interesting indeed.
Off topic, but does anyone know anywhere I can get details on being a snooker referee?
Alex on TV these days signals 1 thing a total car crash.
To Jamie
If you email me Jamie, letting me know which town/country you're from I'll put you in touch with your relevant governing body. They arrange training and examination for prospective referees.

gazza is on too so it could get emotional, personally looking forward more to a double bill of ER!
Roll up, roll up, come and see a bearded lady, a dwarf and a wild former snooker player.
Higgins is a circus act nowadays.
If I read one more comment about 'where are the characters today' I think I'm going to scream.
Well...the answer to "how Higgins does" is not very well at all. Voted out after the first round, after getting his quesion wrong (he was asked "What day comes between Sunday and Tuesday" to which he replied "Wednesday").
He didn't look in the best of health though
